Since its founding in 2008, A Bar N Ranch has been breeding the best Wagyu cattle with the best Angus cattle in Texas, creating some of the most tender and densely marbled beef in the world. The beef from their Wagyu/Angus crossbred cattle takes red meat to a whole new level that is beyond Prime. Just ask anyone who has eaten an American Wagyu steak or ask the many chefs and food aficionados that are convinced it is simply the finest beef you can put on the dinner table.

About The Food

Wagyu is a prized Japanese cattle breed genetically inclined to produce beef that’s densely marbled with a buttery texture and flavor. When crossed with Angus, the result is highly marbled beef with the signature Angus flavor we all know and love. Wagyu is healthier than other kinds of beef because it is intensely marbled with a softer fat; It has higher percentages of mono-unsaturated fats, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, and is lower in cholesterol that commodity beef. It’s not only unbelievably rich in taste and tenderness, but it is perfectly suitable for a well-balanced and healthy diet. At A Bar N Ranch, cattle are fed a specially formulated, all-natural diet crafted by an in-house Nutritionist—and the cows are never given antibiotics or hormones. All of the beef is their Platinum level – grades of 9 or higher on the Beef Marble Score grading system used in the U.S. and Australia.

Meet The Owners

A Bar N Ranch is owned and operated by longtime friends & business partners, Gregg Allen and Van Nichols. The Ranch started as a cow/calf operation, but once they had their first taste of Wagyu beef and learned of the health benefits and the superior qualities of the breed, the objectives of the operation changed. Ever since 2009, the ranch has been crossing American Black Angus Cattle with the goal of developing one of the best herds of Wagyu/Angus cross cattle in the U.S.

Shipping Days

At FoodyDirect we are doing everything we can to drive down shipping costs for our customers, including offering Low Flat-Rate Shipping.

$ 9.95 Flat-Rate Shipping - If your shipping address is reachable from A Bar N Ranch via UPS Ground service within 2 days, you will be presented with the incredibly low shipping rate of $ 9.95 upon checkout.
$ 29.95 Flat-Rate Shipping - If your shipping address is beyond 2-day ground reach, you will be presented with a flat rate of just $ 29.95 for 2nd-Day Air upon checkout.

*Please note that the flat rates above will be applied per shipping box. You will be presented with the actual shipping rate before making your final purchase.

Next Day Air service may be available for an additional charge. Saturday delivery is not available.
Service to Alaska and Hawaii is available for an additional fee. Service outside the U.S. currently not available.

Orders are shipped Monday through Wednesday, except holidays. Orders placed by Noon (ET) can be shipped that day. The max allowable transit time for all steaks is 2 days. Perishable items cannot be shipped over a weekend and cannot be delivered on Sunday or Monday.

Weather and unforeseen circumstances can delay your shipment. We strongly recommend that you schedule your order to arrive at least 1 business day before your desired usage date to allow for any delays.

Shipping Options

The following shipping options are available depending upon the delivery date selected and reflect the max allowable transit time for products from A Bar N Ranch:

Ground Shipping (1-2 Days) - If a customer’s shipping address is reachable via UPS Ground service within 3 days, they will be presented with a $9.95 Flat-Rate Shipping upon checkout. Orders will be delivered via UPS Ground service on or before the selected arrival date, between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM to residences, and between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM to businesses.

2nd-Day Air - If the shipping address is not reachable within 3 days via UPS Ground service, the customer will be presented with $29.95 Flat-Rate Shipping upon checkout. The order will be shipped via UPS 2nd-Day Air and will be delivered on or before the end of the second business day following shipment (unless upgrading to Saturday delivery). Delivery time can vary based on area, but can be as late as 8:00 p.m. to residences and 5:00 p.m. to businesses.

UPS Next Day Air Saver - Your package will be delivered by the end of the next business day after it has been shipped. Delivery time can vary based on area, but can be as late as 8:00 p.m. to residences and 5:00 p.m. to businesses. The flat-rate for Next Day Air Saver is $39.95.

UPS Next Day Air (AM Delivery) - Your package will be delivered the next morning after it has shipped (or Saturday if upgrading to Saturday delivery), by 12 noon to most addresses. The flat-rate for Next Day Air is $44.95 (per shipping box).

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a ship notification email with a tracking number for each package in your order. When your order has been delivered, you will also receive a delivery notification email.

Packaging & Delivery

All steaks from A Bar N Ranch is shipped in extra thick recyclable foam containers with dry ice to assure it arrives in excellent condition within the max allowable transit time of 2 days.

All orders are shipped signature release. This means UPS will leave the package at the doorstep, front desk or gate associated with the shipping address without requiring a signature upon delivery. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the contents of the package are stored in a freezer or refrigerator promptly after delivery. FoodyDirect cannot be responsible for orders with incomplete or invalid addresses, or that are sent to recipients who are not available to store the contents of the order on the day of arrival. UPS cannot deliver to a P.O. box.

Storage & Care

All items are shipped frozen. If you are planning to consume right away, thaw overnight and consume within 3 days. Otherwise, freeze for up to 6 months.

Grilling your Steaks

About 20 minutes before grilling, remove steaks from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature. Heat your grill to high then generously season the steaks with coarse kosher salt and black pepper. Sear steaks on the grill until golden brown and slightly charred, about 4 to 5 minutes. Turn the steaks over and continue to grill until the internal temperature is 135°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium, or 150°F for medium well. Transfer steaks to a cutting board and tent loosely with aluminum foil. Let it rest about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Grilling your Burgers

Heat grill to medium-high. Form ground beef into patties and generously season with salt & black pepper. Grill burgers about 4-5 minutes per side for medium or to desired internal temperature. Serve with your favorite toppings!
