We were extremely pleased with the beef on weck!!! The meat was tender and my husband said the rolls were the best he’s ever had. A little more au jus would be nice but it worked! Thanks for making the day of this displaced WNY’er
I ordered this for my elderly father because he is originally from Buffalo and has mentioned he wishes he could get a roast beef on wick. I ordered it for him for Father's Day and he's still talking about it. Product was outstanding, well packaged and arrived as promised. There's a few easy steps to prepare and it's as if you are sitting in a restaurant in Buffalo! Needless to say, I will be ordering for him again. Thank you for making it easy for us to enjoy a Buffalo favorite!
Most importantly, the food arrived exactly when I requested - on Valentine's Day. Since it was for a special occasion, this was critically important. Anderson's packed the food so it was fresh, the ingredients were well labeled, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Great job, and a successful surprise for my Buffalo native wife to have Beef on Weck.
Was great. Arrived right on time.
I received this as a gift and was very surprised when I saw it. It was from my sister for Christmas and it was a great taste of home for the holidays, it was still frozen when it arrived so I put it into the freezer until Christmas Day, later in the afternoon when they were made for my family. Directions were explained easily and they tasted awesome. Kimmelweck rolls were outstanding as was the beef. Excellent way to ship, I may be looking into more hometown food. Thank you

I grew up on original Beef on Weck in Buffalo area and this package is as good as being there. It was absolutely delicious and so easy to prepare. It was given to me as a gift and I LOVED IT!

Defrost the rolls and glaze at room temperature for 15 to 20 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 350 °F. Place the rolls close together on a baking sheet. Coat them with glaze and sprinkle with the caraway/salt mixture. Place coated rolls in the oven and bake them for 2 minutes. Put the au jus concentrate into a pot with one quart of boiling water. Add more hot water to adjust flavor, if desired. Defrost the all-natural roast beef briefly at room temperature until you can separate slices. When defrosted, transfer to a platter. Use tongs to pick up 2 to 3 slices of meat and dip into hot au jus for about 5 seconds. Place the warm beef on kimmelweck rolls and add horseradish and other condiments of choice. Serve with a side of warm au jus for dipping.
A spectacular sandwich unique to Western New York, beef-on-weck is roast beef on a kimmelweck roll served with au jus and horseradish. Anderson’s award-winning (and horemone-free) roast beef is slow roasted to perfection, thinly sliced, and layered on a kimmelweck roll (Kaiser roll sprinkled with pretzel salt and caraway seeds). For an authentic Buffalo experience, spread horseradish on your all-natural roast beef and quickly dip the top ‘weck bun in the au jus. Serve with a side of dill pickle spears.
