Introduction

Founded in 1997, Art’s Bakery has built a renowned business by offering a full and crave-worthy array of freshly baked goods based on the best of traditional, Armenian treats. The bakery quickly gained popularity within the community for their famous “ Nazooks”—buttery, flakey Armenian treats that come in Original, Nutella and Apple Walnut Raisin. Now a staple in the greater LA region, Art’s bakes these and other Armenian specialties fresh every day (and thankfully now ships them nationwide, from their oven to your door!).

About The Food

If there was ever a pastry that could be singlehandedly responsible for a bakery’s success, it would have to be Art’s Bakery’s famous Nazook. With a recipe passed down from generation to generation, this soft, traditional Armenian pastry is like nothing you’ve ever tasted. Traditionally served as an Easter delight, these buttery, flakey treats are baked fresh daily, year-round in three amazing flavors: Original, Nutella and Apple Walnut Raisin. No wonder they fly off the shelves as soon as they come out of the oven! Perfect with a cup of coffee or tea, an after-dinner desert or a guilty breakfast option, Nazook and other melt-in-your-mouth specialties from Art’s are truly a treat for your taste buds.

Meet The Owner

Cofounders and husband and wife, Simon and Anjela Grigorian, came to the United States from Armenia in 1993 to find the American Dream, and they have since done just that. In 1997 they founded Art’s Bakery and built their business on the sweet spot that intersects between traditional Armenian recipes and the best of modern baked delights. And now, 20 years later, they have set the standard for bakeries in their community. The success of their business is a reflection of their passion for baking the finest products based on authentic recipes that have been handed down through generations. Regulars are greeted by the aroma of freshly baked bread, pastries, and sweets the minute they walk in, which may explain why Art’s can’t keep their amazing Armenian treats on the shelf for very long.
