About The Food

Owner Eileen Avezzano’s secret for the best New York-style cream cheese cake is simple: a handful of exceptional ingredients, her mother’s family recipe, a hearty dash of love, and decades of experience. Her sumptuous selection of legendary New York-style cheesecakes—all of which are kosher and comply with the highest standards of Jewish dietary laws—ensures every type of dessert craving is satisfied, especially since cakes are baked daily and shipped overnight for ultimate freshness.

Meet The Owner

In 1975, Eileen Avezzano told the owner of her local New York deli that she far preferred her mother’s recipe. She proved it with a sample, and he instantly ordered 10 cakes for his shop. Overnight, Eileen was in the cheesecake business. She set up a wholesale shop in lower Manhattan in 1976. When locals requested cakes to purchase, she added a bakery case. Endless accolades later, including “Best Bites” in New York Magazine and “Number-one cheesecake” on radio station WOR, she began shipping cheesecakes all over the U.S. Today her cheesecakes are as coveted as ever.

Shipping Days

Cheesecakes ship from Eileen's via UPS Next Day Air Saver or overnight via UPS Ground service and will be delivered by UPS the day after the order is shipped, by end-of-day. (Note: UPS "Next Day Air Saver" is not available to certain locations. In these rare cases, "Next Day Air" will be offered, for an additional cost of $10.)
$10 Upgrade for AM DELIVERY - If you'd like your cheesecake delivered in the AM (by noon), select UPS Next Day Air during checkout using the shipping calendar. There is a $10 fee for AM delivery (per item), and UPS will deliver to most addresses by 12 Noon local time."
$30 Upgrade for SATURDAY DELIVERY - UPS delivers to most addresses on Saturdays, between 10:30 AM and 12:00 PM (noon). Select the Saturday you'd like your order delivered using the Scheduling Calendar in the shopping cart. There is a $30 charge for Saturday delivery.

Note: UPS "Next Day Air Saver" is not available to certain locations. In these rare cases, "Next Day Air" will be offered, for an additional cost of $10.

Saturday delivery is available for an additional charge. Service to Alaska is now available from Eileen's Special Cheesecake. Service to Hawaii and outside the U.S. currently not available.

Orders are shipped on Monday through Thursday, except holidays. Orders placed by 3:00 PM (ET) can be shipped that day. Perishable items cannot be shipped over a weekend and cannot be delivered on Sunday or Monday.

Weather and unforeseen circumstances can delay your shipment. We strongly recommend that you schedule your order to arrive at least 1 business day before your desired usage date to allow for any delays.

Shipping Options

Standard Shipping (UPS Next Day Air Saver, or overnight via UPS Ground) is included in the price of the cheesecake. Orders will be delivered on the selected arrival date, between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM to residences, and between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM to businesses.

AM Delivery via UPS Next Day Air - AM Delivery is available for an additional cost of $10. Use the shipping calendar to select UPS Next Day Air Saver at checkout.

Saturday Delivery is available for an additional cost of $30. Use the shipping calendar to select your desired Saturday date at checkout.

Packaging & Delivery

All cheesecakes from Eileen's Special Cheesecake are shipped in extra thick recyclable foam containers with sufficient coolant to assure it arrives in excellent condition within the max allowable transit time of 1 day.

All orders are shipped signature release. This means UPS will leave the package at the doorstep, front desk or gate associated with the shipping address without requiring a signature upon delivery. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the contents of the package are stored in a freezer or refrigerator promptly after delivery. FoodyDirect cannot be responsible for orders with incomplete or invalid addresses, or that are sent to recipients who are not available to store the contents of the order on the day of arrival. UPS cannot deliver to a P.O. box.

Storage & Care

Refrigeration Instructions: Please unwrap all plastic and foam upon receipt and store in a refrigerator. Refrigerated cakes can be enjoyed for 7-10 days.

Freezing Instructions: After removing the gel ice pack from the box, do not unwrap the cake from its packaging if you choose to freeze it upon receipt- simply put the cake directly into your freezer. After enjoying, if you would like to re-freeze any leftovers, wrap the remaining cake in plastic. Cakes can be frozen for up to 3 months. The gel ice pack provided is reusable.

Slicing Instructions: Using a hot, wet knife- slice the cake and pull the knife from the bottom of the cake, do not lift. Clean the knife of any residue, making sure to repeat this step between every slice. OR Using unflavored dental floss, pull a piece longer than the cake and wrap around your fingertips. Pull it straight down on both sides of the cheese cake and gently pull out from the bottom, unwrapping one end from your fingertips. Run the floss between your fingertips to remove any crumb pieces and repeat.
