Consider Kenny & Ziggy’s the solution to your cravings for outstanding corned beef Reubens, pastrami sandwiches, and homemade matzo ball soup. A success since it opened in Houston, Texas, in 1999, this destination deli featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives with Guy Fieri serves up the authentic, soul-satisfying Jewish comfort classics that used to be abundant in Manhattan, but are now harder to come by. Kenny & Ziggy’s keeps the flavor of the Jewish deli alive—and available to you—by shipping their house-made delicacies directly to your door.

About The Food

Kenny & Ziggy’s delivers the authentic flavor of the old-school New York Jewish deli for one reason alone: Owner Ziggy Gruber. The third-generation New York deli man, whose family opened the first deli on Broadway in 1927, grew up learning the secrets to making the best kosher salami, triple-smoked pastrami, house-cured corned beef, chocolate bobka, rugelach, bagels, pickles, fresh rye, chicken soup, and matzo balls. Taste any of his specialties and you’ll understand, perhaps for the first time, what truly exceptional traditional Jewish delicatessen food tastes like.

Meet The Owner

Third generation deli man Ziggy Gruber’s family emigrated from Budapest and opened the Rialto, Broadway’s first deli, in 1927. By eight years old, Ziggy’s grandfather began teaching him the traditions of making Jewish deli food. After attending London’s Cordon Bleu cooking school at 16, Ziggy worked in London's only three-star Michelin restaurants before returning to New York to work in his family’s kosher delis. In the ‘90s, Ziggy headed west to open his own wildly popular deli, Ziggy G's in Los Angeles. Kenny & Ziggy’s, continues his mission of delivering the best traditional New York deli experience—and keeping the culinary traditions of Eastern Europe alive.
