About The Food

Rich in history and flavor, Lithuanian Bakery’s Eastern European specialties are made from recipes and baking traditions handed down through generations. Their variety of distinctive rye breads is made the Old-World way: by hand, in small batches, and without preservatives or additives. Their famed dessert, the Napoleon Torte, is a Lithuanian specialty named after Napoleon Bonaparte, who developed a craving for the layered treat during his Russian Campaign. The light, flaky, masterpiece of eight wafer layers divided by handmade buttercream—available in two addictive flavors—is made today with the same painstaking three-day process that it was more than a century ago, resulting in an exceptional one-of-a-kind dessert experience.
