We purchased Mamie's Pies for Thanksgiving dinner and they were just as good as if we had baked the pies ourselves. And the beauty is that everyone got to choose their favorite flavor and I didn't have to bake four different pies! We brushed a little milk on top and they were absolutely delicious. And we have a few left over in our freezer to enjoy now that the Thanksgiving crowds are gone.
I bought these pies for a college friend who's going through chemo right now. I wanted to get her family something yummy to enjoy that would be easy to pull out whenever they wanted some comfort food. They were a huge hit! Omg!!! Pocket pie instead of a whole pie when I am in the mood!! Gladly homemade and haelthy ingredients that I can bake on demand! Plus I can make several different kinds at one time and offer them for dessert to guests. And wow are they impressed!!! Your Mamie's Pies should be stored in the freezer and must be consumed by the date on the package. Once baked, your hand pie can be kept refrigerated for up to four days or kept on the counter-top for two days.
Remove from packaging and place pie on parchment-lined baking sheet (brush with milk if darker finish is desired). Place in preheated 425F conventional oven for 20-24 minutes until crust is golden brown. Or, if using a convection oven, bake at 400F degrees for 15-18 minutes, following above instructions. Ovens may vary, adjust accordingly. Let cool and enjoy.
