"The real deal!" says Esquire Magazine about Red Truck's authentic mincemeat pie (December 2010). This pie was originally going to be offered at Christmas, but since customers are always yearning for this Red Truck specialty, they now offer it year-round. Red Truck's Brian Noyes is on a one-man crusade to resurrect the traditional mincemeat pie, not anything like that cloying version from supermarkets; this is the pie your dad and granddad loved. The mincemeat pie is full of apples, raisins, golden raisins and a little suet, finished with a good splash of brandy and topped with smoked bourbon sugar from their pals in Kentucky.

Order Cut-Off Time:

We'll halt shipping the month of August through Labor Day weekend; we're preparing to move our kitchen and shipping to our new larger retail headquarters in Marshall, Virginia. If you're hankering for our summery Meyer lemon cake, order now—we'll instead be shipping our Shenandoah apple cake in September when we resume.

Storage & Care:

All products from Red Truck Bakery are baked the day they are shipped. They will stay fresh for several days after receipt and may be kept at room temperature. The cakes with booze (moonshine, bourbon and rum cakes) will stay fresh a week or longer. Muffins should be enjoyed within 1-2 days of receipt. Red Truck Granola will stay fresh for one week after delivery. For an extended period, granola can be stored in a sealable plastic bag or an airtight container (do not refrigerate or freeze your granola).
