Introduction

Snow’s debuted in the hill-country town of Lexington in 2003 with a humble mission: to serve barbecue to the ranchers and farmers who came to town on Saturdays to attend the weekly livestock auction. Today, the joint still serves only on Saturdays from 8 a.m. “‘til sold out”—which is often long before noon. Unprecedented recognition as the “best barbecue in Texas” by Texas Monthly and a number 10 ranking on the London Guardian’s list of "The 50 Best Things To Eat In the World," has made Snow’s a destination for serious foodies and barbecue lovers from all corners of the globe.

About The Food

Snow’s superior quality is partially due to the fact that it’s only open one day per week, which means owner Kerry Bexley and veteran pitmaster “Miss Tootsie” Tomanetz can give each batch more care and attention than other barbecue establishments. Still, five decades of experience go into Miss Tootsie’s tending the fire, putting the briskets on “fat-side up” just after midnight, and wrapping them in foil at just the right stage. “Snow,” a nickname given to Kerry as a boy, seasons and cooks all the meats with the precision and attention to seasoning (basic), time (about 8 hours), and temperature (250-275) that gives it its unparalleled quality.

Meet The Owner

Texan Kerry “Snowman” Bexley, is the name and face of Snow’s BBQ. Amazingly, his barbecue gig is only part-time; he has a full-time job is at a local lignite mine, and is a real estate agent, auctioneer and one-time rodeo cowboy. Co-owner and pit boss “Miss Tootsie” began smoking meat in 1967, running the pits at City Meat Market in Giddings before she and her husband owned a barbecue joint in Lexington for 20-plus years. When Kerry, whom she has known since he was six, began exploring opening his own joint, she was the first person he talked to. The rest is barbecue history in the making.

$ 9.95 Flat-Rate Shipping - If your shipping address is reachable from Snow's BBQ via UPS Ground service within two days, you will be presented with the incredibly low shipping rate of $ 9.95 upon checkout.
$ 29.95 Flat-Rate Shipping - If your shipping address is beyond 2-day ground reach, you will be presented with a flat rate of just $ 29.95 for 2nd-Day Air upon checkout.


*Please note that the flat rates above will be applied per shipping box. While some packages can be combined into a single box, several packages from Snow's require their own shipping box. You will be presented with the actual shipping rate before finalizing your purchase.

Orders are shipped only on Tuesdays, and arrive on Wednesday or Thursday depending on the service level you select. The cut-off time for orders to ship on Tuesday is Friday at 6:00 PM (Eastern Time). The max allowable transit time for products from Snow's BBQ is 2 days. Perishable items cannot be shipped over a weekend and cannot be delivered on Sunday or Monday.


Weather and unforeseen circumstances can delay your shipment. We strongly recommend that you schedule your order to arrive at least 1 business day before your desired usage date to allow for any delays.


Shipping Options

The following shipping options are available depending upon the delivery date selected and reflect the max allowable transit time of two days:


Ground Shipping (1-2 Days) - If a customer’s shipping address is reachable via UPS Ground service within 2 days, they will be presented with a $9.95 Flat-Rate Shipping upon checkout. Orders will be delivered via UPS Ground service on or before the selected arrival date, between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM to residences, and between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM to businesses.


2nd-Day Air - If the shipping address is not reachable within 2 days via UPS Ground service, the customer will be presented with $29.95 Flat-Rate Shipping upon checkout. The order will be shipped via UPS 2nd-Day Air and will be delivered on or before the end of the second business day following shipment (unless upgrading to Saturday delivery). Delivery time can vary based on area, but can be as late as 8:00 p.m. to residences and 5:00 p.m. to businesses.


UPS Next Day Air Saver - Your package will be delivered by the end of the next business day after it has been shipped. Delivery time can vary based on area, but can be as late as 8:00 p.m. to residences and 5:00 p.m. to businesses. The flat-rate for Next Day Air Saver is $49.95.


UPS Next Day Air - Your package will be delivered the next morning after it has shipped, by 12 noon to most addresses. The flat rate for Next Day Air is $54.95.


Once your order has shipped, you will receive a ship notification email with a tracking number for each package in your order. When your order has been delivered, you will also receive a delivery notification email.

Packaging & Delivery

All food from Snow's BBQ is shipped in extra thick recyclable foam containers with sufficient coolant to assure it arrives in excellent condition within the max allowable transit time of 2 days.

All orders are shipped signature release. This means UPS will leave the package at the doorstep, front desk or gate associated with the shipping address without requiring a signature upon delivery. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the contents of the package are stored in a freezer or refrigerator promptly after delivery. FoodyDirect cannot be responsible for orders with incomplete or invalid addresses, or that are sent to recipients who are not available to store the contents of the order on the day of arrival. UPS cannot deliver to a P.O. box.

Preparation & Care

Transfer your order from the shipping box to a freezer or refrigerator promptly after delivery. All products have been cooked and frozen just before shipping, and can be stored frozen for up to 12 months. Once thawed, enjoy within 3 days per the instructions below:

For best results, thaw frozen items overnight under refrigeration. Once the barbecue has thawed, wrap it in heavy-duty foil, placing a small amount of water or sauce in the foil to help the meat remain moist during heating Seal the foil tightly around the meat. Preheat the oven to 250°F. Place the foil-wrapped barbecue in a roasting pan or baking sheet. Place the meat on the center rack of the preheated oven and warm it for approximately 45 to 60 minutes, or to an internal temperature of 140°F. For a firmer barbecue “crust,” remove the foil and raise the oven temperature to 400°F for the last 10 to 15 minutes of heating. Sausage and ribs can be heated the same way but may be ready in as little as 30 minutes (maybe even less for sausage).
