Definitely needs to be heated up to enjoy; I tried it room temp, and the texture was quite grainy, the butterscotch morsels sort of flecking everywhere without being emulsified into the main filling. That's what makes an awesome pecan pie; a smooth filling, which this didn't have. Super generous with the caramel-y pecans on top, in some ways the pie became a vehicle for just that. Personally, I loved the apple pie from Blue Owl far more.
Refrigerate for up to 4-5 days and freeze for 2-3 weeks. When left at room temp pies can last up to 3 days.
