The barbecue that took the Grand Prize at the Memphis in May World Championships in 2015 and AGAIN in 2018 now comes straight to you from the Mississippi bayou, courtesy of brother-and-sister team Brad Orrison and Brooke Lewis. Called one of the hippest dives by Guy Fieri on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives, The Shed has become a magnet to fans and barbecue lovers across the gulf coast and beyond. Opened in 2001 on their dad’s campground in the heart of the Mississippi bayou, The Shed serves up some of the best down home BBQ you’ll ever sink your teeth into, period. From the heritage breed and antibiotic-free meats, to the incredibly tasty and “junk-free” rubs and sauces, their low-and-slow ‘cue is what BBQ dreams are made of. And if you make the trip to Ocean Springs, you can be a “Shedhed” and enjoy some incredible Blues by local musicians every Friday and Saturday.

About The Food

It took practice in cooking, smoking and timing to perfect the art of barbecue, but the accolades tell the story. The Shed BBQ & Blues Joint isn’t just a funky musical experience on the Bayou, it’s the award-winning ribs, pork and brisket, not to mention sauce, that wins over the hearts of customers. Smoked over pecan wood for a minimum of 6 hours, their baby back ribs are lean but tender, and the spare ribs are cut from the side of the belly, which means plenty of marbling for flavor, and includes rib tips. The brisket (smoked for 14 hours) is Meyer Red Angus, raised in Montana and hand sliced. The pork butts (“butts” = shoulder, also smoked for 14 hours) are from heritage breeds, and the coarse-grind pork rope sausage is cold-smoked at Country Pleasin’ up the road for 16 hours using pecan wood, then finished in-house at 225 degrees till the skin is bite-through. One taste of their famous ‘cue and you’ll know why they were named Grand World Champions in 2015 and 2018—and you’ll become an instant “Shedhed”!

Meet The Owners

A couple years after graduating from Ole Miss, marketing major, part-time butcher and junk collector Brad Orrison teamed up with his sister Brooke to offer top quality barbecue on their dad’s Ocean Springs, MS campground in 2001. An epic hurricane (Katrina) and major fire later (they had to close and rebuild), the family-owned and operated business now serves up to 2,500 lbs of slow-smoked barbeque a day (along with authentic Mississippi Delta Blues on weekends) to lucky “Shedheds” who are rewarded for making the trip from near and far. Other members of the Orrison clan are in charge of everything from making the sauce to booking the entertainment, spreading the word (marketing, that is) and serving ice cold beer along with their legendary ‘cue.

Summer Flat-Rate Shipping for The Shed BBQ

At FoodyDirect we are doing everything we can to drive down shipping costs for our customers, including offering Low Flat-Rate Shipping.

$ 9.95 Flat-Rate Shipping - If your shipping address is reachable from The Shed BBQ via UPS Ground service within 1 day, you will be presented with the incredibly low shipping rate of $ 9.95 upon checkout.
$ 39.95 Flat-Rate Shipping - If your shipping address is beyond 1-day ground reach, you will be presented with a flat rate of $ 39.95 for Next Day Air Saver upon checkout.

*Please note that the flat rates above will be applied per shipping box. While some packages can be combined into a single box, most packages from The Shed BBQ require their own shipping box. You will be presented with the actual shipping rate before making your final purchase.

Next Day Air service and Saturday delivery may be available for an additional charge. Service to Alaska and Hawaii is now available. Service outside the U.S. currently not available.

Orders are shipped on Monday through Thursday, except holidays. Orders placed by 8:00 PM (ET) can be shipped the following day. The max allowable transit time for all products is 2 days. Perishable items cannot be shipped over a weekend and cannot be delivered on Sunday or Monday.

Weather and unforeseen circumstances can delay your shipment. We strongly recommend that you schedule your order to arrive at least 1 business day before your desired usage date to allow for any delays.

Shipping Options

The following shipping options are available depending upon the delivery date selected and reflect the max allowable transit time for products from The Shed:

Ground Shipping (1 Day) - If a customer’s shipping address is reachable via UPS Ground service within 1 day, they will be presented with a $9.95 Flat-Rate Shipping upon checkout. Orders will be delivered via UPS Ground service on or before the selected arrival date, between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM to residences, and between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM to businesses.

Next Day Air Saver - If the shipping address is not reachable within 1 day via UPS Ground service, the customer will be presented with $39.95 Flat-Rate Shipping upon checkout. The order will be shipped via UPS Next Day Air Saver and will be delivered on or before the end of the next business day following shipment. Delivery time can vary based on area, but can be as late as 8:00 p.m. to residences and 5:00 p.m. to businesses.

UPS Next Day Air - Your package will be delivered the next morning after it has shipped (or Saturday if upgrading to Saturday delivery), by 12 noon to most addresses. The flat-rate for Next Day Air is $44.95 (per shipping box).

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a ship notification email with a tracking number for each package in your order. When your order has been delivered, you will also receive a delivery notification email.

Packaging & Delivery

All food from The Shed BBQ is shipped in extra thick recyclable foam containers with sufficient coolant to assure it arrives in excellent condition within the max allowable transit time of 1 day.

All orders are shipped signature release. This means UPS will leave the package at the doorstep, front desk or gate associated with the shipping address without requiring a signature upon delivery. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the contents of the package are stored in a freezer or refrigerator promptly after delivery. FoodyDirect cannot be responsible for orders with incomplete or invalid addresses, or that are sent to recipients who are not available to store the contents of the order on the day of arrival. UPS cannot deliver to a P.O. box.

Prep & Care

All products from The Shed have been fully smoked and frozen just before shipping. If partially or fully thawed upon arrival, you can refreeze, or refrigerate if you intend to enjoy it within 3 days. Barbecue can be stored frozen in its original packaging for up to 2 months. Defrost under refrigeration before heating.
